What happened
In October 2022 the CPSC announced recall #23-007 covering ~22,000 Ancheer AM001907 e-bikes because their lithium-ion batteries can ignite, explode, or spark; six incidents and four burn injuries were reported. The remedy is a free replacement battery and mount from Ancheer, but owners have reported slow or unresponsive service. The brand still sells bikes online, but support reliability is poor.
